In Memoriam

Mike Moody
Previous president of Robomo and known to some as Windfield Mike, passed away on May 14th, 2020.

I’ll miss Mike. I never saw him in a bad mood. He could find the positive in any situation. He was generous with his time and his knowledge. Mike didn’t want a funeral. He wanted 1/2 his ashes put on an island in the Bahamas and 1/2 sent into space. That’s so Mike!

– Tom D.

Mike is pictured on the right. He’s holding ROBOMO-1, the near space balloon he constructed. After he recovered it from a mission into the stratosphere, 19 miles above sea level.
